Marley Cooling Tower Nozzles & Valves
Nozzles and valves make sure hot water reaches the fill evenly and the tower always has the right amount of water. As the official distributor of Marley cooling towers in Singapore, Stolz Engineering supplies genuine Marley cooling tower nozzles, distribution systems and valves, and can fit them through our Parts Replacement service.
How Water Distribution Works
For a cooling tower to work efficiently, hot water must be spread evenly over the fill. In a crossflow tower, water flows by gravity from hot water basins at the top, through nozzles in the basin floor. In a counterflow tower, water is pumped through pipes to spray nozzles above the fill. Clogged or worn nozzles leave dry patches in the fill and reduce cooling performance.
Cooling Tower Nozzles
Marley offers crossflow and counterflow nozzles designed for full, even water distribution over the fill, including clog-resistant options for difficult water conditions.
Marley Spiral-Target Crossflow Nozzle
The standard Marley crossflow nozzle, made from polypropylene with no moving parts. It sits in the hot water basin floor and spreads water evenly over the fill. Available in 3 lengths and 13 orifice sizes to fine-tune water flow.
Marley NX Crossflow Nozzle
A clog-resistant nozzle for splash-fill industrial crossflow towers, where debris in the water blocks smaller nozzles. A single assembly with no moving parts, it helps prevent basins overflowing because of clogged nozzles.
Marley NS5 Counterflow Nozzle
A counterflow spray nozzle with large orifices and no internal parts, so debris passes through instead of clogging it. Its full-cone spray covers the fill evenly, and it can be removed and refitted without tools.
Marley NS7 Counterflow Nozzle
Designed for the low spray heights of factory-assembled counterflow towers. Made from polypropylene with no moving parts, it comes in two sizes and is easy to remove for cleaning.
Counterflow Distribution Assembly
A complete counterflow distribution system with nozzles installed in pairs on each supply pipe, which lowers installation cost. It drains itself when the water is shut off and can be taken apart and reassembled with simple hand tools.
Cooling Tower Valves
Valves control how water enters the tower: flow-control valves regulate hot water into the distribution basins, and float valves keep the cold water basin at the right level.
Marley HC Crossflow Valve
A flow-control valve for crossflow hot water basins, with a cast iron body and stainless steel stem. Its simple design gives low pressure drop and long, trouble-free operation, and it costs less than a separate valve and elbow.
Marley Makeup Water Float Valve
Automatically tops up the cold water basin to replace water lost through evaporation, drift and blowdown. It has a heavy-duty red brass body, comes in sizes from 3/8″ to 2″, and is supplied as a kit with float arm and float.
Frequently Asked Questions
What causes cooling tower nozzles to clog?
Debris, scale and biological growth in the circulating water can block nozzles over time, leaving dry areas in the fill. Clog-resistant designs such as the Marley NX and NS nozzles help in difficult water conditions, and regular servicing keeps nozzles clear.
What does a makeup water float valve do?
It automatically adds fresh water to the cold water basin to replace water lost through evaporation, drift and blowdown, keeping the basin at the right level for the pumps.
Can you replace nozzles on a non-Marley cooling tower?
In many cases, yes. Stolz Engineering services both Marley and non-Marley cooling towers. Send us your tower's make, model and photos of the existing nozzles, and we'll advise on the right replacement.
Need Replacement Nozzles or Valves?
Send us your cooling tower model and serial number, plus photos of the existing nozzles or valves, and our team will recommend the right Marley part.
