Marley Evaporative Fluid Coolers in Singapore
Stolz Engineering supplies, installs and maintains Marley evaporative fluid coolers across Singapore. Also known as closed-circuit cooling towers, fluid coolers keep your process fluid in a clean, sealed loop, protecting chillers, heat exchangers and sensitive equipment.
How an Evaporative Fluid Cooler Works
The process fluid flows through a closed coil inside the cooler, so it never comes into contact with the outside air. Water is sprayed over the outside of the coil while a fan moves air through the unit. As a small portion of this spray water evaporates, it draws heat out of the fluid inside the coil.
Because the process loop stays sealed, it remains free of airborne dirt and debris, reducing fouling and maintenance on the equipment it serves.
Marley Hybrid & Closed Circuit Fluid Cooler Models
HYBRID FLUID COOLER
Marley MH Fluid Cooler
150–3,570 kW
Combines fill media with a prime surface coil, giving significantly higher performance than conventional closed-circuit coolers. A versatile choice for HVAC and industrial closed-loop systems.
CLOSED CIRCUIT FLUID COOLER
Marley DT Fluid Cooler
255–1,411 kW per cell
An induced-draft, coil-only counterflow cooler that keeps the process fluid in a clean closed loop. It uses less fan energy than forced-draft coolers and is available in a wide range of footprints.
Marley Forced Draft Fluid Cooler Models
FORCED DRAFT FLUID COOLER
Marley MC Fluid Cooler
a
A steel, forced-draft counterflow fluid cooler designed for sound- and space-sensitive applications, such as urban rooftops and enclosed plant areas.
FORCED DRAFT FLUID COOLER
Recold JW Fluid Cooler
Flow: 2–386 m³/hr per cell
A low-profile forced draft fluid cooler with quiet, low-speed centrifugal fans and lightweight, corrosion-resistant copper coils. Its low height makes it easy to hide or place indoors, and there is no fill to clean. Factory assembled and tested on a steel skid for quick installation.
Which Fluid Cooler Is Right for You?
Choose the MH (hybrid) when you need high thermal performance from a compact closed-circuit unit.
Choose the DT (closed circuit) when lower fan energy and a coil-only design suit your system.
Choose the MC (forced draft) when noise or available space are the main constraints.
Fluid Cooler or Open Cooling Tower?
An open cooling tower cools water by bringing it into direct contact with air, which is efficient but exposes the water to airborne dirt. A fluid cooler keeps the process fluid sealed inside a coil, combining a cooling tower and heat exchanger in one unit. Choose a fluid cooler when the process loop must stay clean, or an open tower when maximum efficiency at the lowest cost is the priority.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a forced draft fluid cooler?
It’s a closed-circuit fluid cooler where fans at the air inlet push air through the unit. The process fluid stays inside a coil, while spray water and air remove its heat through evaporation.
What is the difference between forced draft and induced draft fluid coolers?
A forced draft cooler pushes air in at the base, usually with quiet centrifugal fans, which suits indoor and noise-sensitive sites. An induced draft cooler, such as the Marley DT, pulls air through with a fan on top and generally uses less fan energy.
Which forced draft fluid cooler is right for my project?
It depends on your cooling load, available space, height limits and sound requirements. Our team can recommend the right Marley model for your site.
What is the difference between induced-draft and forced-draft fluid coolers?
An induced-draft cooler, such as the Marley DT, pulls air through the unit with a fan on top, which typically uses less fan energy. A forced-draft cooler, such as the Marley MC, pushes air in with fans at the base, which suits sound- and space-sensitive installations.
